Overview
On a 32:9 panel, Assassin's Creed Shadows plays in native resolution during gameplay but pillarboxes every cutscene — Ubisoft has confirmed this is intended behavior rather than a bug. The community ASI plugin ACShadowsFix removes the cutscene pillarboxing, uncaps the 30fps cutscene lock, and can push FOV above the default cap. Without the mod, expect a solid open-world experience but frequent black bars whenever a cinematic plays on 32:9.
