Overview
Black Mesa supports 21:9 and 32:9 resolutions natively with Hor+ scaling, and WSGF gives it a Gold ultrawide award. There are no pre-rendered cutscenes (the story plays in-engine). The FOV slider covers 75-90 degrees, and higher values can be set through the console.

Patch history & verification
Steam build current as of 2026-09-23 (latest news: 'Summer Sale and Update Peek', 2026-06-25)Sep 23, 2026
Rating policy update: raised to Excellent because every documented behavior is native with no known issues. The earlier Good rating was only a hold for a second source. Finer details (HUD placement, menus/cutscenes at 32:9) rest on limited sourcing — report a correction if something looks off on your setup.

Verified via PCGamingWiki (ultrawide true, Hor+, WSGF Gold) and the WSGF support summary (Hor+, native, HUD 'Optimized'). HUD placement at 32:9 and menu behaviour were not confirmed with screenshots, so the HUD is listed as edge-anchored with no centering option. Rated good rather than excellent for that reason. No Flawless Widescreen module exists or is needed.
