Overview
Fallout 2 has no built-in widescreen or ultrawide support; the community High Resolution Patch (an sfall-based fix, pre-installed on the Steam and GOG releases per PCGamingWiki) unlocks arbitrary resolutions including wide ones, but this is a 1998 isometric-camera game so the extra width mostly just reveals more of a fixed top-down view rather than a proper Hor+ FOV expansion, and the UI does not scale, becoming tiny at wide/high resolutions. WSGF rates ultrawidescreen support only 'incomplete' and multi-monitor as unsupported; I could not confirm a dedicated, actively maintained 21:9/32:9-specific fix beyond general widescreen resolution configuration, so this is rated conservatively as poor with no confirmed working ultrawide-specific mod.

Patch history & verification
High Resolution Patch (bundled)Sep 21, 2026
Confirmed via PCGamingWiki that widescreen resolution is 'hackable' via the High Resolution Patch and is pre-installed on GOG/Steam; ultrawidescreen field on PCGamingWiki itself is listed as 'unknown' and WSGF award is 'incomplete', so support_21_9 is set conservatively to fix-required and 32:9 to unsupported rather than assuming full ultrawide works. Could not confirm any actively maintained mod specifically targeting 21:9/32:9 aspect correction beyond general resolution unlocking.
