Overview
Gameplay renders natively in hor+ ultrawide at 21:9 and 32:9, but cutscenes are pillarboxed to 16:9 by default and Quick-Time Event prompts can appear partially or fully off-screen even after fixes. A Flawless Widescreen module exists (confirmed in the live FWS repo listing) and PCGamingWiki also documents a manual hex-edit of gotg.exe for the Steam build to unlock cutscene aspect ratio, at the cost of some pop-in/visual glitches during cutscenes.

Patch history & verification
current Steam buildSep 21, 2026
Verified via PCGamingWiki wikitext (Video/Ultra-widescreen sections) that gameplay is hor+ native at ultrawide/super-ultrawide while cutscenes stay pillarboxed; confirmed a matching "Guardians of the Galaxy" module is currently listed in the live Flawless Widescreen repo XML and that the Reddit-documented hex-edit fix page is still live. Could not independently verify the SUWSF Microsoft Store fix is still maintained beyond the PCGamingWiki citation.
