Overview

Monster Hunter: World officially supports 21:9 since Title Update 5.1, with a UI position option, but only 21:9: 32:9 needs a mod, and some cutscenes stay pillarboxed to 16:9. Rose's plugin adds 32:9 and wider support, removes the cutscene bars at 21:9 and wider, and works with DirectX 12, unlike the older Lazy Aspect Fix. It needs Stracker's loader and the Performance Booster plugin extender, and it has not been re-tested on the very latest build by the author since 2023.

Read PCGamingWiki Video section (ultrawide 'limited': 21:9 only since TU 5.1, some cutscenes pillarboxed, 32:9 fix via Nexus 128) and the Rose UltrawideIndex release page (v1.0, published 2023-07-31, 32:9+ support, cutscene bars removed, DX12 supported, install needs Stracker's loader and Performance Booster). Confirmed Nexus 128 is Lazy Aspect Fix v4.0.3.

Lower confidence: HUD/menu behavior at 21:9 is taken from press coverage of the 5.1 UI-position option, not our own testing; online-safety marked unknown because mods use a DLL loader and the game has co-op. Nexus 6873 could not be opened.
