Overview

NieR: Automata was built for 16:9 and needs a stack of separate community fixes to look right on a 32:9 panel, not one clean solution. FAR by Kaldaien fixes the underlying resolution/fullscreen scaling for a correct hor-plus wide view; the separate NieR: Automata HUD Fix (a patched exe by jackfuste) stops menus and HUD stretching horizontally. Pre-rendered cutscenes stay pillarboxed even with both fixes, though the optional Vidsquish re-encode at least letterboxes them cleanly instead of stretching.

Working with fix
FAR plus the HUD fix together give a proper wide view with a clean, non-stretched HUD. Took some trial and error to get both installed correctly.

Working with fix
Gameplay looks great once FAR and the HUD fix are in, but pre-rendered story cutscenes still show as a pillarboxed 16:9 box in the middle of the screen.
