Overview

Sea of Thieves renders at native ultrawide/super-ultrawide resolutions without letterboxing, but the horizontal FOV is locked at 90 degrees regardless of aspect ratio, so 32:9 players get a distorted, squished view at the edges rather than a proper wider field of vision. Rare has publicly stated on their own forums that they do not plan to raise the FOV cap, a long-standing, unresolved limitation. As a live-service game with anti-cheat, avoid third-party resolution-injection tools.
