Overview
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines has no native widescreen or ultrawide support out of the box; the GOG release ships with the community Unofficial Patch pre-installed, which adds widescreen resolutions, and getting a correct ultrawide aspect ratio additionally requires a manual hex edit of engine.dll (documented on WSGF and PCGamingWiki) to fix the FOV/aspect calculation. Cutscenes stay pillarboxed and default horizontal FOV is a narrow 75 degrees even after the fix. WSGF rates both widescreen and ultrawidescreen support only 'limited', and multi-monitor is unsupported, so treat this as a working but manual, moderate-confidence fix rather than a polished one.

Unofficial Patch (GOG-bundled)Sep 21, 2026
Confirmed via PCGamingWiki Video infobox and the linked WSGF page that ultrawidescreen is 'hackable' only, requiring the Unofficial Patch plus a documented engine.dll hex-value edit; confirmed the Unofficial Patch is the same one bundled with the GOG release via a PCGamingWiki community tools listing. Could not independently confirm the exact current version number of True Patch Gold, so it is listed only as an alternative with lower confidence.
