Overview

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition runs true Hor+ gameplay at whatever resolution your desktop reports, including 21:9 ultrawide, with no mod needed and a correctly proportioned HUD/FOV. WSGF rates it only 'limited' for ultrawide and 'limited' for multi-monitor, and multi-monitor setups shift the play area to the left side of the screen rather than filling it; pre-rendered cutscenes and menus remain pillarboxed to their original aspect ratio. 32:9 has not been specifically confirmed working beyond desktop-resolution gameplay, so treat it as partial with no known fix for the cutscene/menu framing.

Fixes

No known fix yet.

Engine renders true Hor+ at any resolution the desktop reports, but pre-rendered cutscenes and menus stay locked to their original 4:3/16:9 framing, and no mod fixes that on 32:9; WSGF's own ultrawidescreen award for this game is only 'limited'.

Confirmed via PCGamingWiki Video infobox (ultrawidescreen=true, WSGF ultrawide award 'limited') and WSGF's own listing that gameplay is native Hor+ at desktop resolution; could not confirm specific 32:9 cutscene/menu behavior beyond general pillarboxing pattern noted for pre-rendered video, so 32:9 is marked partial rather than native/excellent.
