Overview

Blasphemous 2 has no native ultrawide support and renders at a fixed low native resolution (640x360 upscaled) with 16:9 pillarboxing by default, per PCGamingWiki ('ultrawidescreen = hackable'). A community mod by Rose (RoseTheFlower/UltrawideIndex v1.0.4) removes the black bars at 21:9 and 32:9, but the mod's own notes warn that some hand-painted background art isn't wide enough to fill 21:9+ cleanly and that camera framing can drift slightly from the original 16:9 composition, so treat the fixed experience as good but visually imperfect rather than flawless.

Patch history & verification

Mod v1.0.4Sep 22, 2026
Confirmed native pillarboxing and 640x360 base resolution via PCGamingWiki, then verified the RoseTheFlower/UltrawideIndex mod release (v1.0.4, tested at 2560x1080/3440x1440/5120x1440) and its documented caveat about backgrounds not being wide enough for full 21:9+ art coverage. Exact current Steam patch/build number for Blasphemous 2 was not published anywhere I could confirm, so last_verified_patch describes the mod version instead.
