Overview
Brotato does not support ultrawide natively: PCGamingWiki lists ultrawidescreen=false and the resolution is effectively locked (4k also false, noted as locked to 1080p-equivalent), so 21:9 and 32:9 displays are pillarboxed by default. A Steam Workshop mod ("Multi Res - Ultrawide") lets players expand the width and remove black bars, though community reports note the map/arena is a fixed small square, so revealing more width mainly shows more of the arena border rather than meaningfully more gameplay space, and at very wide 32:9 ratios black bars may return. We could not independently verify the mod against the exact current build, so we could not confirm it as fully reliable, and safety is unknown.
