Overview
Darkest Dungeon II does not officially list ultrawide resolutions as selectable, but the p1xel8ted UltrawideFixes GitHub project (a maintained Unity-engine ultrawide-fix collection) adds a working DarkestDungeon2 module that exposes the correct aspect ratio; PCGamingWiki marks ultrawidescreen as 'hackable' via this exact fix. Even with the fix, some UI screens and cutscenes remain letterboxed/pillarboxed at 16:9, so treat this as a partial, community-patched fix rather than full native support.

Already have one of these? It works too
In-game windowed-mode resolution workaroundSet Display mode to Windowed and pick the ultrawide resolution manually; has to be redone every time the game is relaunched, and does not fix all UI scaling issues.

Patch history & verification
currentSep 22, 2026
Verified via PCGamingWiki Video infobox (ultrawidescreen=hackable, links the p1xel8ted UltrawideFixes GitHub repo) and confirmed that repo/release tag exists and is actively maintained (open issue thread discussing the Darkest Dungeon 2 fix). Also cross-checked against third-party guides describing a manual windowed-mode workaround as a lower-quality alternative. Steam appid confirmed via the Steam appdetails API.
