Overview

Don't Starve Together has genuinely native 21:9 support (WSGF gold widescreen / silver ultrawide award, PCGamingWiki ultrawidescreen=true) with Hor+ gameplay giving you more visible map. The main menu is pillarboxed with black bars, and Klei's own bug tracker confirms the loading screen/vignette stretches incorrectly instead of pillarboxing. At 32:9 the HUD elements get pushed into the far corners of the screen, which is functional but awkward, so 32:9 is rated partial; the actively-maintained 'Combined Status' Workshop mod (also on GitHub) re-centers and resizes HUD stat badges independently of scale, which helps ultrawide/super-ultrawide readability.

Patch history & verification

Current live buildSep 22, 2026
Confirmed native Hor+ 21:9 gameplay via WSGF gold/silver awards and PCGamingWiki; confirmed via Klei's own bug tracker that the loading-screen/vignette scaling is a known stretching bug rather than proper pillarboxing. Verified the 'Combined Status' HUD mod is real and currently available on both Steam Workshop and GitHub before recommending it.
