Overview

Gameplay renders correctly hor+ at ultrawide resolutions, but dialog/cutscenes are pillarboxed and the UI text becomes hard to read at high resolutions unless the FtG UI Mod is used. DAFix (the same tool as Dragon Age II) removes the cutscene pillarboxing. WSGF actually lists a silver ultrawidescreen award for this title, slightly better than DA2, but 32:9 specifics are undocumented so it stays conservative.

FtG UI ModRescales the UI text/elements which become very small/hard to read at high ultrawide resolutions; does not by itself fix cutscene pillarboxing.

Patch history & verification

Ultimate Edition (Steam)Sep 23, 2026
Confirmed via PCGamingWiki infobox that ultrawidescreen is 'limited' (pillarboxed dialog/cutscenes, fixed by DAFix) and that the FtG UI mod is recommended for text legibility. WSGF award (silver) checked as a second source. No direct 32:9 test data found, so 32:9 kept at fix-required rather than assumed identical to 21:9.
