Overview

TUNIC has no official ultrawide support — PCGamingWiki lists ultrawidescreen as 'hackable' only, and the isometric fixed-camera view is pillarboxed to 16:9 by default, with the developer having stated on Steam that native 21:9 is not planned. A community patcher by Rose (RoseTheFlower/UltrawideIndex, v1.1) removes the black bars and reveals extra horizontal world, tested up to 5120x1440, but menus and any cutscene-like sequences remain 16:9 pillarboxed since the patch only touches gameplay rendering.

Patch history & verification

Patcher v1.1Sep 22, 2026
Confirmed native pillarboxing via PCGamingWiki ('ultrawidescreen = hackable') and Steam Community threads, then verified the community patcher's release page (name, v1.1, tested resolutions up to 5120x1440). Could not find an official statement on 32:9 cutscene/menu behavior beyond the patcher's own claims, so cutscene and menu fields are marked conservatively as still pillarboxed.
