Overview

PCGamingWiki confirms GRID Legends renders gameplay in true hor+ with a centered HUD on ultrawide, verified with tested custom 2560x1080 and 3840x1080 resolutions, and a YouTube capture shows 32:9 5120x1440 gameplay working. The catch is that FMV, rendered cutscenes, loading screens and every menu remain pillarboxed at 16:9, and the desktop resolution must be set to ultrawide before the game starts or the picture stretches instead of scaling correctly.

Fixes

No known fix yet.

Gameplay is native hor+ with a centered HUD when the desktop resolution is set to ultrawide before launch, but FMV, rendered cutscenes, loading screens and all menus stay pillarboxed at 16:9 with no known fix or mod to extend them.

Patch history & verification

Current build (2026-09-23)Sep 23, 2026
Confirmed hor+ gameplay scaling and pillarboxed menus/cutscenes directly from PCGamingWiki's sourced infobox notes; 32:9 gameplay confirmed only via a third-party YouTube capture, not an official or wiki-documented test, so it is marked partial rather than native.
