Overview
The Abbey hub exploration and combat maps render natively in ultrawide, but every cutscene and the card-battle dialogue/story sequences are locked to a pillarboxed 16:9 box on both 21:9 and 32:9 displays. This is a real, long-standing bug (not just a low-benefit UI limitation) and the one community patch that fixed it was removed after it triggered anti-cheat conflicts, so there is currently no fix worth recommending.

Fixes
No known fix yet.
Cutscenes and card-battle dialogue are hard-locked to 16:9 pillarboxed. A community patch by modder Lyall previously addressed this but was taken down due to conflicts with the game's anti-cheat, and a reported Unreal Engine Unlocker workaround is described as unstable, so no fix is currently recommended.
Patch history & verification
current Steam buildSep 22, 2026
Confirmed via PCGamingWiki and Steam Community threads that cutscenes/dialogue remain pillarboxed on both 21:9 and 32:9. Confirmed the previously-available Lyall community fix is no longer available due to anti-cheat issues; could not verify any current safe working fix.
