Overview
PCGamingWiki lists ultrawidescreen, multimonitor, and FOV as all 'hackable' via Flawless Widescreen (no native support). Confidence caveat: the Flawless Widescreen public repo has a single 'Layers Of Fear' module whose changelog entry (17/05/2023) coincides with the 2023 remake's demo release, and PCGamingWiki's own 2023-remake page links directly to FWS, so the two corroborate each other, but the module name alone does not distinguish it from the 2016 original — flagged as a same-title trap and treated conservatively (fix-required, not native).

Patch history & verification
1.6.1+Sep 23, 2026
Verified via PCGamingWiki wikitext for the 2023 Unreal Engine 5 remake specifically (confirmed by Steam appid 1946700 match and UE5 engine field), which explicitly recommends Flawless Widescreen for ultrawide/FOV. Cross-checked the FWS repo XML and found a 'LayersOfFear' module; could not fully disambiguate remake vs. 2016 original from the module name alone, so this is noted as lower-confidence and the overall rating stays conservative (poor, not partial).
